BIO

Anna Chudzik-Pawlik is first and foremost a performer working with the body, ritual, sound, and objects. In her work she explores the relationships between corporeality, memory, spirituality, and the experience of community. Her inspirations draw both on women’s narratives, mythology, and ritual practices, and on contemporary concepts related to energy, vibration, and the non-linear experience of reality.
Her performative actions take the form of intimate ceremonies in which the body becomes simultaneously an archive of experience, a tool of resistance, and a space of transformation. Through work with nudity, movement, earth, sound, and found/secondhand objects, the artist creates situations steeped in tenderness while also confronting socially and culturally entrenched mechanisms of control over the female body.
In her performances she draws on figures of feminine power and goddess archetypes, treating ritual as a way of reclaiming agency, memory, and connection — both with one’s own body and with other people and the natural world. She is interested in the experience of invisible relationships: between people, matter, energy, and collective memory.
Her practice sits at the intersection of performance, somatic work, ritual art, and performative installation.
