Solitons

PERFORMANCE

Solitons are a performance that immerses the viewer in an invisible world of waves, vibrations and energy, creating a space in which time, memory and space are intertwined in a network of infinite relationships. Inspired by both mythology and modern quantum physics, performance questions our connections – to other people, to history, culture, and the universe.

The central motif is solitons-waves that maintain their shape despite changing conditions – which become a metaphor for the permanence of interpersonal relationships that stand the test of time and external shocks. The symbol of the red string from the Japanese myth of fate emphasizes the Invisible ties that intertwine people, time, and place.

The sound in a performance does not perform only a musical function-it materializes in space as vibrational waves that resonate with the audience, creating an interaction between the performer’s body and the audience. References to quantum physics emphasize the non-local nature of reality, in which the action of one person becomes a point in a complex network of interactions that also includes the morphic field-the collective consciousness and memory of humanity.

Thus, “solitons” become not only a metaphor for communication, but also an attempt to understand how our individual experience intertwines with the world, how sounds, waves and energy can lead to new forms of communication and intimacy.
